Tanzania’s Dr Faustine Ndungulile is expected to vie for the position of World Health Organization Africa Director position in August this year.
This development comes as the current WHO Africa Regional Director for Africa Dr. Matshidiso Rebecca Moeti from Botswana concludes her term in August.
She was elected in 2015 and her term expires in August 2024.
Previously, Dr Ndungulile has been a Minister for ICT Tanzania, a Deputy Minister for Health, with vast experiences in Healthcare and ICT policies
More broadly, he has contributed in strenghtening the health systems in Tanzania, Rwanda, Mozambique, Angola and South Africa.
According to his linkedin page, he is a policy maker, public Health and ICT enthusiast.He is known for taking science based approaches to health related matters whilst executing public health policy.
