Tanzania’s President Samia Suluhu Hassan has today held talks with Turkey’s  Prime Minister Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in Ankara.

She noted on her official social media pages that her visit is part of the ongoing improvements in implementing Tanzania’s foreign policy through economic diplomacy.

She added that the value of trade between the 2 countries had grown from $11m in 2003 to $350m currently,by extension contributing to jobs creation,infrastructural development,health,industries and higher education.

In the talks,she said,  they also discussed peace and security, fighting terrorism and cooperation on the same.They also touched on the place of Turkey in the G20 in supporting Africa’s agenda on global platforms.

President Samia Suluhu Hassan is in Ankara, Turkey on invitation by her Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, for a five-day state visit focused on bilateral relations and stepping up cooperation between the two countries.
